Unmanaged Care, Ills of the American Health Care System takes a comprehensive look at the sources of abuse, fraud and dysfunction in the American health care system.
Even with change approaching, health care costs will continue to be out of control, we will continue to own a national embarrassment of uninsured and – especially – under-insured Americans and fraud and abuse will continue to run rampant. Unmanaged Care took a look at all sectors of the American health care industry, including physicians and other health care providers, the pharmaceutical industry, insurance companies, hospitals, home health, skilled nursing, attorneys and the government bureaucracy that supports and may still continue to support a dysfunctional system. Rationale for change is always necessary, especially the circle of deceit that surrounds the American health care consumer – from all sectors. Suggestions are offered on how to become a more informed health care consumer as well as a brief look into where we can to focus change
